WarWorld 3/8/2010 3:33:48 PM | Be nice if the different attribute mods were posted so we can see if raising a stat would result in an increase.

Legion 3/12/2010 2:26:03 PM | Raising a stat will always have an impact.
- Strength: increases carrying capacity, flee success, and either +1 attack (odd scores) or +1 damage (even scores).
- Dexterity: increases flee success, equip speed, and either +1 defense (odd scores) or +1 speed (even scores).
- Constitution: increases HP per level, resistance to physical effects (poison, paralyzation, etc), and may give an immediate HP gain.
- Intelligence: increases skill points per level (think of this as investing for the future) and for some classes, SP per level and possibly an immediate SP gain.
- Willpower: resistance to mental effects (daze, fear, etc), willingness to tank when wounded, and for some classes SP per level and possibly an immediate SP gain.
- Charisma: decreases party space taken, increases party size (if leading), determines party leader, and for some classes affects SP per level and possibly an immediate SP gain.
There may be other affects of the attributes as well, but that should highlight some important benefits to increasing them. Note the odd/even effects of strength and dex. For example moving your dex from 11 to 12 will increase your speed and not your defense, but when you increase it from 12 to 13 it will be the other way around (+1 defense, speed unchanged).
