Randy, How about an option to sell unneed land at same price as purchased and having gold spread out evenly over remaining party memebers. Would help in those cases like mine, where the middle level chars I had got wiped out. and the higher level ones are in negative cash and so I can't get recruits to build up again.

I hear you there-

i had the same thing happen before i rebuilt. I was left with only 2 characters that were lvl 4's- same situation though, no chance of rebuilding cash because the cost of going on an adventure was higher than the amount that could be made on the adventures that they had even a small chance of surviving.

Potentially this could be abused though with crafters and earth casters- maybe a way to avoid that and expand teh depth of teh game would be to tap into the NPCs as a emergency reserve of recruits...

example- i have 2 lvl 3 dedicated crafter wizards- I take them on lvl 0 after level adventure each time making as much as possible with teh crafter magic. It is a huge way to make a lot of money fast for the individual characters.

those 2 characters are now ale to funnel money into the clan, which would be used to buy land. after some land is bought, it is then sold. The funds would be distributed to teh clan as a whole (spread to the individuals evenly or weighted by level exp etc).

This creates a never ending supply ov money for doing nothing other than risking 2 characters in adventures they have little to no chance of dieing in - yes they would lose all exp but who cares the benefits is an endless supply of risk free Iron/Silver/Gold.

it really doesnt matter who goes on what adventures, what matters is that the funds would go back to people who did not earn it. Since all people need to have positive funds, and this would give this to them, this would give an infinite source of recruits.

If the clan could advertise so that "wanders looking for some adventure" could come a calling and join up as recruits to restart a clan in that position- i really think that being able to tap the NPCs that already have stats would be easier though- just my 2cents...

I am kicking around a couple different ideas for ways of more people joining your clan, including higher level characters. Its possible that one day the current recruitment system will not be the primary tool for growing your clan. However, that is some ways off.

In the meantime Dark Cloud echos my thoughts exactly. Allowing one group of characters to earn money, and then redistribute amoung those who did not earn it, would allow for infinite free growth of the clan without any player skill or risk-taking required. That would go against the founding idea of the game.
