Legion, I think you are going to need to look at this again. Seems those with cash are buying alot of the same weapons and putting the price out of range for other players. i.E demonslaying spear is over 2000 when it was I think like 900 before? also I understand buying drives the price up but what drives the prices down? When they are sold?

Also prevents those people that arent in the elite from selling items like candles and such to make enough to do day changes.

Hurms seems selling price for items not tied into new costing model. That not fair, if someone going to jack up the price and I find that item I should be able to benefit from it.

I actually like the new marketplace quite a lot. Instead of having a few inferior items to choose from all at base value because the good ones sell out, you get at least 2x if not 3x the number of items to choose from, with varied prices. Some items get really cheap too, much cheaper than before!

I also really like the way that before certain items weren't available at all, but now they are on the market for a very high price. If you really want a certain item, before you were out of luck, but now you can save up and buy it.

The price you sell items for of course has not changed and is based strictly off the base value, because the treasure value of adventures is extremely carefully monitored to keep it in the exact range it needs to be to balance all aspects of the game.

OK but 1 how do prices go down or do they only go up? 2 I think the people with cash will buy the higher desired items and those without will have to settle for less desired items since you will probably have to replace equipment lost while saving up. Though does force people into harder adventures for the hope of a better payout.

Prices move in pairs. When one goes up, another one (of the same item class and price range) goes down.

i like the model silverlode suggested. is there a way to code it so prices go up but never down?

seems that it would be more fun to be able to track the market and "look" for them - the prices should be tied :)

I agree with silver on this one. The player driven economy means that those without sufficient funds will constantly be forced to use garbage, since anything worth a damn will be bought out by the richer players. I would expect the next set of upgrades will be the trade alliance.

Maybe have the prices set to the individual clans money reserves and number of items they have. Such as a clan with 3 demonslaying spears will spend more then a clan with none, yet one with 8 spears would be paying a hell of a lot more.

I was led to believe that if a clan makes items during a day change, then they can distribute it to any other clan member. Is this the case?
