Question, I have a group of level 6 chars with 1 char that can level to 7. If I level it to 7 will the adventrues get harder than if I left it as a 6? If I level him he would be the only one at level 7 so should I wait till more level 6 chars get to level 7 XP?

I've never done that before, but you could. Each character level roughly doubles his contribution to the difficulty. So if your group was say 25 guys, and you level one up, the group will have adventure difficulty increase 4%.

For what its worth, each adventure level is about 20% harder than the one before it. Thus when 1/5th of your group gains a level, on average, you'll find the adventures that group goes on to be 1 level harder.

As I've said I have never kept a guy from leveling intentionally. But if you do, there could be a useful trick since you can press the "level up" button at any time. For instance, if you were killed, you could level up and the hp gained might bring you back above 0 and back to life. Of course if you'd been leveled in the first place you wouldn't have died...

So is that a way to cheat? Hold off on leveling someone until after they die? Guess there is a way to resurect characters all along. We just didnt know about it.

As for those of us that dont have dozens of characters in the same level group above one, there have been more then a few times that I had to leave the high level characters out of an adventure. Sad thing is, I tend to need the extra firepower when I do leave them, and dont need it when I take them.

hadnt actually thought of or done(bringing back a guy from death by leveling) i had been going out with a unleveled guy when i tried dangerous or very hard adventures and leveled up guy after i started the adventure...

I regularily do this. Do to the fact that I often have a designated leader in a group, I need the leader to be of the highest lvl in a group. It is a great way to control your groups and the difficulty you face.

It is also a great way to power lvl from lvl 2-4. I often will not lvl my people when they can go to lvl 3 so I can continue to rake in the rookie bonus. It is not a cheat, I have discussed it with Legion. It is a it risky, but if you have a comfortable group of lvl 2's, go for it.

Thanks for explaination. I personally think that leveling up to maybe come back from dead is silly cause will probably die again anyway. Thanks for info.

actually just saved a wizard a different way..he was 'killed' reduced to 0 HP and i was able to equip(he had high dexterity) his family heirloom knife (+1HP)and get him back alive...technically i shouldnt have been able to do that as he was already dead...but another charcter could have put it in his hand...poured potions on him or something ;)so i guess thats a little loophole to close off eh Legion? ;)

Not a loophole, that is intentional. In his dying breath he grabs the knife. There are actually "survival stones" that do the same thing and are intentionally 0-delay items equipable in the shield slot. If you have one in your inventory and go to 0 or less you can still equip it (and a knife too!) to bring yourself back to 1+ hp.

Of course, you never want to count on this because dead characters are often deleted the instant they die, so there is not always an opportunity to save them.
