I have come close again to losing an entire group of people that came across a large group of demons. As usual i did not think too much of trying to take down 4 demons. until they started gating thier friends in...

I did get most everyone out even with being severly weakened.

Just posting this as a reminder to everyone- seems there are smoe new players around- and the forums are not exactly easy to review past topics-

WHEN IN DOUBT FLEE-

it may cost a couple of experience points- but compared to losing a good character- a few exp (even 12 lost for a level 4 or 5) is nothing that is not easily regained.

even a group of kobalds can be tough- look at thier attack and defense values in thier picture- if the defense is high then they will be hard to hit :)

Don't forget to go to the data screen and uniquip to get the best speed value possible too- speed seems to make a HUGE difference when fleeing-

this message brought to you by the letter K- for kill them all. and the number 55 for no good reason, and because DarkCloud says so :p

Great advice! "When in doubt, flee" applies well to everything, but particularly ghouls, demons, and anything else that has the potential to wipe out an entire party.

By the way ... demon magic is really a huge help also, particularly if the character is chaotic and can use the control demon spells. I just fought a group of 19 demons, and thanks to a demon specialist, after 5 turns I'd only killed a few but I'd controlled five others and I thus outnumbered the remaining enemy and was never really threatened.

Also I noticed that you have added HUGE spiders now. I mistook them for the plain ol' large spiders once and paid the price. Now I pay closer attention. This helps with my decision on whether or not to flee!
